Biography
St. John the Baptist was a Jewish preacher in the early 1st century AD. He is known for baptizing Jesus Christ and is considered a prophet in Christianity, Islam, the Baháʼí Faith, and Mandaeism. He called people to repentance and prepared the way for Jesus.
